Polepole (poh-leh poh-leh) means slowly, slowly in Swahili, and this is how these whimsical miniatures are created. Handcrafted by skilled artisans in Bali from albizia wood, a fast-growing lightweight white wood native to the South Pacific. Each piece is painstakingly carved and sanded to a satin finish, then the subtle details are hand painted, like the sweet face on this playful river Otter.

Note: Polepole are intended for gentle child’s play and home decor. Our kids do play with these, but they are NOT as sturdy as our hardwood brands.
