Bitte is a children's store focused on curating a sustainable and mindful collection of toys, books, clothing and gifts for modern parents. We are looking for a part-time Purchasing Agent to join our team. The right person must be a driven self-starter with excellent organization skills. 

Tasks:

  • Communicate with vendors re all aspects of the purchasing process:
    • obtaining pricing
    • availability and lead times
    • sending purchase orders and confirming receipt
    • creating an inbound plan
    • coordinating invoicing/payment with AP
    • follow up on damaged or missing or late product
    • obtaining/coordinating media assets from vendors
  • Inventory Analysis and Implementation:
    • comparing QOH vs Sales to create a purchasing plan
    • creating purchase orders
    • building Inventory Transfers for incoming stock
    • careful tracking of open invoices and matching back Inventory Received to Invoices
  • Careful / Detailed input of data into our systems

Must be:

  • Fluent in Excel and/or Google Sheets
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to learn new programs
  • Good communication skills, written and verbal
  • Self- motivated - able to work independently after training

Helpful, but not Required:

  • Familiarity with Shopify platform
  • Ability to assess current Purchasing system and tools and find better more efficient solutions
