UAUA is created by Kiki & Philippe, a Dutch mother & Belgian father, inspired by their 2-year-old daughter Liv and newborn son Harvey. Their clothing is designed in Antwerp, Belgium and produced in Peru.

Kiki and Philippe have been travelling their entire lives and have seen many beautiful parts of the world. Still, traveling through Peru surprised them in ways they did not expect. Peru is not only very beautiful, but also a very diverse country. And here is where it all began - the start of UAUA, pronounced as [WAWA]. UAUA means baby in the Quechuan language, a language spoken by the Quechua people primarily living in the Peruvian Andes. It was the main language of the Inca Empire.

Ideal growing conditions in coastal Peru create the best quality cotton in the world, named Pima cotton. Pima cotton is an exceptionally smooth and exquisitely soft luxurious cotton, which gave them the idea to create UAUA - an original baby and toddler clothing line based on simple styles and gender-neutral colors in the highest quality cotton, because your little ones deserve nothing but the best.

All of their designs are ethically produced in Peru. They’re all cut and sewn by hand and colored with eco-friendly dyes. They work with a local Peruvian partner who developed the exclusive and unique UAUA colors.

Their production factory has been operating since 1995. It’s specialized in small-batch manufacturing and is run by a mother and her daughter – a true family business.

Their goal is to create timeless pieces, in a simple earthly color palette, that are not only practical but created in an environmentally conscious way. They use (CPSIA) certified Pima cotton to ensure the best for our little ones. Their designs are minimal and modest, using materials that are natural, long-lasting and maintain its quality wash after wash. Clothes that can be handed down from generation to generation.

Each piece represents their family values of quality, honesty and simplicity!
